Hi, I’m PokerPhil.   No not one of those famous people named Phil who you see on TV playing the professional poker tournaments.  I’m just a guy who has been playing poker for a very long time.  In 1990 my friends and I started playing friendly poker games.  We played a lot of games with wild cards and strange rules that made the pots bigger and the bets more interesting.  As there were only a few of us, a hard-core poker game wasn’t what we were looking to play.

We started to keep a list of all these wild poker games.  Later we realized that we needed to agree upon some basic rules.  This enabled us to play without arguments.  I wrote a small booklet containing this information and in 1995 put this information online.  A few years later I purchased pokerphil.com and moved the information to that domain.  For 10 years this site looked like one of those bad early websites.  Probably because it was one.
Well, I’ve decided to update the information and look.  Feel free to look around and leave feedback.
